Accra, West Africa — February 2026: FOTON Motor has delivered over 100 light trucks to a major West African market, in one of the most significant single fleet transactions for the brand in the region this year.
The bulk of the order comprises AUMARK light trucks — engineered for West Africa’s demanding mix of paved highways, unpaved rural roads, and high-frequency urban delivery cycles. The AUMARK line features a 2.8L turbo diesel engine producing 120-150 horsepower, payloads of 1,500-3,000 kg, and an air-conditioned ergonomic cabin.
Complementing the AUMARK fleet are MILER series trucks — FOTON’s medium-duty workhorses that have posted over 40% year-on-year sales growth in West Africa. The MILER series has built its reputation on reinforced chassis, optimized fuel economy, and multiple body configurations.
Operator testimonials underscore the results. Mr. Kofi Annan, Logistics Director in Ghana, reported saving more than 30% on fuel costs compared to his previous fleet. Mr. Ibrahim Sesay, a construction company owner in Sierra Leone, said FOTON trucks had enabled reliable material transport to sites that were previously inaccessible.
The fleet is backed by a regional distribution network of 25+ authorized dealers and 100+ service points across West Africa, anchored by a parts hub in Accra, Ghana. Each vehicle carries a 2-year/100,000 km comprehensive warranty and scheduled maintenance programs.
