Nigeria is fast becoming Foton’s showcase market in the region

Foton Motor Launches Lagos Spare Parts Hub, Backs It with Aggressive Nigeria Dealer Expansion Plan

A new logistics milestone is reshaping how Foton Motor supports its growing West African customer base. The Chinese commercial vehicle manufacturer has inaugurated a regional parts warehouse in Lagos, Nigeria, packing it with more than 5,000 SKUs of genuine Foton spare parts — a move designed to slash downtime for operators across the region.

The Lagos facility isn’t just about inventory. Same-day parts dispatch, systematic quality checks, digitalized stock management, and a team of trained parts professionals all work together under one roof. Fleet managers and individual truck owners can now access the components they need without the weeks-long waits that have historically plagued the West African commercial vehicle market.

Nigeria is fast becoming Foton’s showcase market in the region. The brand appeared at IMT Expo 2026 in Lagos, displaying a full product lineup that included the AUMARK light-duty truck, the heavy-duty AUMAN rig, the FOTON View minibus, and a range of electric commercial vehicles — signaling both breadth of portfolio and a push toward greener transport solutions.

That product breadth is backed by a structured dealer network. Today, 15 authorized Foton dealers operate throughout Nigeria, each meeting strict entry requirements: a certified workshop on-site, a minimum stock of 1,000 fast-moving parts, at least two mobile service vans, and the authority to process warranties directly. Foton has already mapped out a growth target of 25 dealers by 2027, roughly a 67 percent expansion of its service footprint.

For customers, the after-sales package is equally compelling. Every Foton vehicle sold in Nigeria carries a 2-year or 100,000-kilometer warranty, whichever comes first. The first three scheduled maintenance services are provided at no charge, while 24/7 roadside assistance ensures help is never more than a phone call away. Fleet operators also receive complimentary training, arming drivers and technicians with the knowledge to maximize vehicle uptime.

One operator who has put the support structure to the test is Trans Nigeria Ltd., which runs a fleet of 45 Foton trucks. Operations Director Emmanuel Okonkwo described the manufacturer’s after-sales service as exceptional — a ringing endorsement from a business that depends on reliability every single day.
