Lagos, Nigeria — Foton Motor has inaugurated a dedicated spare parts and service center in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial capital and the largest city in Africa. The facility represents a significant step in Foton’s strategy to build durable after-sales infrastructure across West Africa — not just sell vehicles into the market.
The Lagos center addresses one of the most persistent pain points for commercial vehicle operators in the region: parts availability. When a truck or bus goes down, every hour of downtime translates directly into lost revenue. The new center is designed to dramatically cut parts turnaround time for Foton operators across Nigeria, Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, and neighboring markets.
The facility operates around the clock and holds a comprehensive inventory of genuine Foton spare parts, with an express delivery service for fleet customers operating outside Lagos. Trained technicians provide diagnostic and repair services aligned with FOTON Motor’s global service standards.
The Lagos opening comes as Foton expands its West African dealer network, which now covers 25 authorized dealers and more than 100 authorized service points across the region.
For fleet operators evaluating a commercial vehicle brand, parts and service infrastructure often determines the total cost of ownership more than the purchase price. Foton’s investment in Lagos signals that it is playing a long game in West Africa, not treating the market as an export destination.
