THE FEATURES OF FOTON FIRE TRUCK

Heavy-Duty Chassis & Powertrain

Every Foton fire truck starts with a high-strength steel frame, hot-dip galvanized against corrosion. The chassis is available in 4×2, 4×4, 6×4, and 8×4 configurations, all tested in extreme heat, cold, and off-road terrain. Engine options include Cummins ISB, ISL, or X12 series (Euro V / VI emission compliant) and Foton’s own X12 diesel, delivering 320 to 420 HP with 1,800 Nm torque. The transmission is a 9- or 12-speed manual or Allison automatic – crucial for rapid response and safe handling under emergency loads.

High-Performance Firefighting Equipment

The superstructure is manufactured by licensed partners such as Rosenbauer, Ziegler, or Chinese top-brand CDZ. Standard equipment includes:

  • Centrifugal fire pump (2,000–6,000 L/min at 1.0 MPa), capable of drafting from open water sources.
  • Polyethylene or stainless steel water tank (2,000–12,000 L) with anti-slosh baffles.
  • Foam proportioning system (electronic or line-type) for Class B fires.
  • Roof monitor (1,200–4,800 L/min) with remote control.
  • Pre-connected hose beds, ground sweep nozzles, and portable monitors.

Smart Crew Cab & Safety

The four-door, six-seat cab is made of fire-resistant composite and aluminum. Features include:

  • Fully independent air suspension seats with SCBA brackets.

  • 360° LED scene lighting and integrated siren/PA system.

  • 7-inch touchscreen vehicle information display (water level, pump pressure, engine diagnostics).
